Iran ‘Madagascar’ to be lensed in Africa

A new Iranian film titled ‘Madagascar’ is to be lensed in 3 different countries in Africa, the film’s producer says.

Mansour Sohrabpour, producer of ‘Madagascar’ made the remarks in a media interview on Wednesday, adding, “The film’s screenplay has been completed and currently negotiation are taking place with multiple filmmakers to direct the picture.”

‘Madagascar’ is a comedy focusing on cultural similarities between Iran and Africa and will feature actors from both sides.

According to Sohrabpour, ‘Madagascar’ is an independent movie that benefits from no foreign investment and will be filmed in different locations in three African countries.

As the storyline for ‘Madagascar’ isn’t “season-sensitive” and it can be filmed at any time of year, we will start filming as soon as we obtain the required permits, he continued.

Once finished, the Iranian comedy film ‘Madagascar’ is to be screened in Iran, Africa and the Middle East.
